McKenzie's 23 points give him Player of the Week award

Jevaughn McKenzie (G ) had an amazing evening in the last round for Belmopan Trojans and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
He had the game-high 23 points adding five rebounds and three assists for Trojans in his team's victory, helping them to beat Suns (#7, 0-1), the league's bottom-ranked team 80-74. Trojans is placed at 3rd position in Belizean league. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Trojans won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game McKenzie had a remarkable four three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He just recently signed at Trojans and it was his first game, where he immediately became new team's leader. McKenzie has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 23.0ppg) and averages solid 75.0% FGP and 57.1% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Edward Hampton of league's second-best San Pedro Tiger Sharks. He is a in his first season at Tiger Sharks. In the last game Hampton recorded an impressive double-double of 28 points and 10 rebounds. It was enough for Tiger Sharks to edge Dream Ballers (0-1) by 6 points 91-85. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won their first game. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Hampton is one of the most experienced players at Tiger Sharks and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 28.0ppg (#1). He also registered 10.0 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to another Tiger Sharks' star - swingman Demetrius Thomas (203-G/F). Thomas scored 16 points and grabbed 16 rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of San Pedro Tiger Sharks, helping his team with a 91-85 win against Dream Ballers (#6, 0-1). Tiger Sharks has a very good start of the season. But there was just one game played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Thomas also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. The season just started for Thomas as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be another team's leader.
