Belizean BEBL round 2 best performance: Raymond Hawkins III (by Hoops Agents)

American Forward Raymond Hawkins III (208-F-2000) put on an amazing game in the last round for Cayo Western Ballers, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
The 25-year old player had a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat Defenders (#6, 0-2), the league's bottom-ranked team 92-79. Western Ballaz is placed at 3rd position in Belizean BEBL. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Western Ballers won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Hawkins III just recently signed at Western Ballaz and it was his first game, where he immediately became new team's leader. Former Westcliff University star has very solid stats this year. Hawkins III is in league's top in points (9th best: 16.0ppg) and averages impressive 2.0bpg and 66.7% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was another Western Ballers' star - young Belizean Glency Lopez (180-PG -1997). Lopez had a very good evening with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Of course together with Hawkins III he helped Cayo Western Ballers with another comfortable win 92-79 over Defenders (0-2) being unquestionably team leader. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won their first game. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Lopez is one of the most experienced players at Western Ballaz and similarly like Raymond Hawkins III has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.0ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 9.0rpg and 6.0apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Jihad Wright (193-F-1993) of EZ Investments Dream Ballers (#7). Wright showcased his all-around game by recording 12 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists in the last round. Despite Wright's great performance the Dream Ballers lost 64-67 to Running Rebels (#1, 2-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Dream Ballers can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 2 games. The season just started for Wright as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.
