Arik Nicholas claims Belizean BEBL Hoops Agents weekly honour

Arik Nicholas (196-F) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for EZ Investments Dream Ballers and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The forward had a double-double of 26 points and 16 rebounds, while his team edged out Suns (#7, 0-2), the league's bottom-ranked team 77-73. Dream Ballers is placed at 5th position in Belizean BEBL. Dream Ballers is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-2 record. Nicholas just recently signed at Dream Ballers and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Arizona Christian University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Nicholas is in league's top in points (3rd best: 21.5ppg), rebounds (5th best: 12.5rpg) and averages solid 2.5bpg and 3.0spg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American Nigel Jones (201-F -1990) of Belize City Defenders. Jones impressed basketball fans with 26 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course Defenders cruised to a 92-80 relatively comfortable win over Trojans (1-2). The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Jones is one of the most experienced players at Defenders and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. Talladega College alumni Jones played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.

The third best performed player last round was American Bryan Hudson (190-G) of Belmopan Trojans (#6). Hudson scored 26 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Despite Hudson's great performance the Trojans lost 80-92 to Defenders (1-2). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Trojans not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 2 games, recording just one victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Hudson could try to bring Trojans' a little bit higher in the standings. Hudson has individually a great season in Belize. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.0ppg (4th best).
