Perkins Jr.'s double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

28-year old American power forward Kenneth Perkins Jr. (210-F/C-1997) had a great game in the last round for league's best team Orange Walk Running Rebels and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
He had a double-double of 27 points and 10 rebounds, while his team edged out Trojans (#6, 1-3) 103-100. It allowed Running Rebels to consolidate first place in the Belizean league. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Running Rebels already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. Perkins Jr. just recently signed at Running Rebels, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Philander Smith College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Perkins Jr. is in league's top in points (3rd best: 20.3ppg) and averages solid 2.3bpg. Worth to mention Perkins Jr. played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

Second best performed player last round was Eddie Ishman (197-G/F-1986) of Corozal Cerros Suns. He is American swingman in his first season at Suns. In the last game Ishman recorded an impressive 21 points and 9 rebounds. Bad luck as Suns lost that game 77-87 to league's leader Tiger Sharks (#2, 3-0). Suns are still at the very bottom. 3 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Ishman is one of the most experienced players at Suns and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Mark Gordon (196-F/G) of Cayo Western Ballers (#3). Gordon scored 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Western Ballaz, leading his team to a 86-74 win against slightly lower-ranked Dream Ballers (#5, 1-3). Western Ballers needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 1 lost game. Gordon has a great season in Belize. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.7ppg (5th best) and rebounds with 9.7rpg (4th best).
