Belizean BEBL round 5 best performance: Mark Gordon (by Hoops Agents)

American Swingman Mark Gordon (196-F/G) had a very impressive game in the last round for Cayo Western Ballers, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The player was the main contributor (30 points, seven rebounds) to his team's victory, helping them to edge out Trojans (#6, 1-4) 86-82. Western Ballaz maintains the 3rd position in Belizean BEBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Western Ballers will need more victories to improve their 2-1 record. In the team's last game Gordon had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Western Ballaz and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Former Keiser University star has very solid stats this year. Gordon is in league's top in points (2nd best: 21.5ppg), rebounds (6th best: 9.0rpg) and averages impressive 1.3bpg,2.8spg and 51.0% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Conner Jackson (190-G-2000, agency: 6th Man Basketball Agency) of league's second-best San Pedro Tiger Sharks. Jackson had a very good evening with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. It was enough for Tiger Sharks to edge the lower-ranked Dream Ballers (#5, 2-4) 86-85. Tiger Sharks' second position in the standings has not changed. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 4 games without any defeat. Jackson is one of the most experienced players at Tiger Sharks and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Bryan Hudson (190-G) of Belmopan Trojans (#6). Hudson scored 29 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Despite Hudson's great performance the Trojans lost 82-86 to the higher-ranked Western Ballers (#3, 2-1). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Trojans can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-4 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Hudson has individually a great season in Belize. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.0ppg (best scorer).
