American Ajang Aguek (201-G/F-2000) had a great game in the last round for league's second-best Belize City Defenders and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 25-year old swingman had a double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds, while his team outclassed Suns (#6, 1-7) with 42-point margin 92-50. Defenders maintains the 2nd position in Belizean BEBL. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Defenders will need more victories to improve their 6-2 record. In the team's last game Aguek had a remarkable 88.9% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Defenders, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Lander University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Aguek is in league's top in points (6th best: 17.8ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 12.7rpg) and averages solid 58.3% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was American guard Bryan Hudson (190-G) of Belmopan Trojans. Hudson impressed basketball fans with 29 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Trojans lost that game 77-98 to the higher-ranked Western Ballers (#1, 6-1). Trojans are still at the very bottom. 7 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Trojans managed to get this year. Hudson is one of the most experienced players at Trojans and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 25.0ppg (#1). He also registered 5.4 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Mark Gordon (196-F/G) of top-ranked Cayo Western Ballers. Gordon got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for nine rebounds . He was a key player of Western Ballaz, leading his team to a 98-77 easy win against the lower-ranked Trojans (#7, 1-7). Western Ballers confirms their top position in the standings. Gordon has a great season in Belize. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 24.6ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 8.3rpg (9th best). He also has 2.4spg, 1.1bpg, a FGP of 54.9% and 3PT: 45.0%.
