25-year old American swingman Ajang Aguek (201-G/F-2000) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's best team Belize City Defenders and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
He had a double-double of 18 points and 19 rebounds, while his team crushed Trojans (#7, 1-8) with 20-point margin 103-83. It allowed Defenders to take over top position in the Belizean league. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Defenders has a very solid 7-2 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. Aguek just recently signed at Defenders, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Lander University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Aguek is in league's top in points (6th best: 17.9ppg) and averages solid 60.9% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Arik Nicholas (196-F) of EZ Investments Dream Ballers. He is a forward in his first season at Dream Ballers. In the last game Nicholas recorded an impressive 25 points and 5 rebounds. Of course he led Dream Ballers to another comfortable win 77-64 over slightly lower-ranked Suns (#6, 1-8) being unquestionably team leader. Dream Ballers' 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-5 record. Nicholas is one of the most experienced players at Dream Ballers and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.9ppg (#7). He also registered 7.1 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Francis Arana (180-PG-1997) of league's second-best Orange Walk Running Rebels. Arana showcased his all-around game by recording 22 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Running Rebels, leading his team to a 79-64 easy win against #3 ranked Western Ballers in a game of the week. Running Rebels needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 2 lost games. Arana has a great season in Belize. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 3.6apg (5th best).
