CAN Potosi held off CAN Oruro in the decisive fifth game of the series to advance into the Finals. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But CAN Oruro won third quarter 16-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was Cuban guard Adriano Barreras (186-92) who scored 27 points and 9 rebounds. Italian-Argentinian forward Agustin Ambrosino (203-90, college: BYU, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. Ambrosino is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. CAN Potosi's coach Gaston Fernandez used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Argentinian Lisandro Rasio (198-90, agency: Pro Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and Argentinian guard Erbel De-Pietro (183-88) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests.
