Rubair - Pichincha 80-78

Rubair held off Pichincha to take the lead in the semis. Rubair outrebounded Pichincha 41-29 including 29 on the defensive glass. Americans were the main players on the court. Swingman Mike Liabo (199-91, college: UT Martin, agency: Interperformances) nailed a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side and guard Irin Stark (185-89, college: STAC) accounted for 19 points. Liabo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Rubair players scored in double figures. Forward TJ Robinson (203-89, college: LBSU) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 18 rebounds and forward Tony Farmer (201-94, college: Lee JC) added 17 points respectively for Pichincha in the defeat.

Calero - CAN Potosi 76-74

Calero topped CAN Potosi in the opener. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Calero made 7 blocks. Argentinian forward Emilio Stucky (198-94) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds for the winners and American guard Scheraun King (190-87, college: Albany St.) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds. Calero's coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side Cuban guard Adriano Barreras (186-89) responded with 21 points and 8 rebounds and the former international forward Cristhian Camargo (194-92) scored 18 points and 8 rebounds.
