Joaquin Gamazo claims Bolivian Libobasquet weekly honour- June 14, 2022
The 30-year old power forward had the game-high 33 points adding nine rebounds and three assists for La Salle in his team's victory, helping them to crush UNITEP (1-1) with 16-point margin 91-75. La Salle is placed at 3rd position in Bolivian Libobasquet. La Salle is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-1 record. In the team's last game Gamazo had a remarkable 61.1% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at La Salle and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Gamazo has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 30.5ppg. Gamazo is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 15.0rpg) and averages solid 63.9% FGP and 100.0% from behind 3-point line. The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Argentinian power forward Rodrigo Acuna (198-PF-1995) of Atomico. Acuna impressed basketball fans with 31 points and 8 rebounds. Of course Atomico cruised to a 72-65 relatively comfortable win over Univ.Sucre (0-2). The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Acuna is one of the most experienced players at Atomico and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 26.0ppg (#3). He also registered 9.5 boards per game. The third best performed player last round was Argentinian Cesar Chaine (186-G) of Univ.Sucre (#9). Chaine scored 26 points and grabbed ten rebounds. Despite Chaine's great performance Univ.Sucre lost 65-72 to Atomico (#6, 1-1). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Univ.Sucre can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 2 games. Chaine has individually a great season in Bolivia. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.0rpg (9th best). Other top performing players last week: 4. Facundo Sanz (197-F-1996) of Saracho - 20 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists 5. Ralfi Silva) of Pichincha - 23 points and 13 rebounds 6. Francisco Bonja) of UNITEP - 22 points and 16 rebounds 7. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
