James Currington III is a newcomer at Penarol

Penarol Quillacollo (Libobasquet) strengthened their roster with addition of 26-year old American 201cm forward James Currington III (college: SE Louisiana). Currington played last summer at Central Alabama Jaguars (TBL) in the U.S. In two games he recorded 4.0ppg and 4.5rpg. The last season he played at Kofer Yoba in Jordanian Premier League where in 10 games he averaged impressive 18.2ppg, 16.8rpg, 1.6apg, 3.8spg and 1.9bpg.
Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Asia, Latin America and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in Peru (PIT Tarma), TBL (Tri-State Admirals) and PBA (Alabama 59ers).
Currington graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2018 and it will be his sixth season in pro basketball.
