Bolivian Libobasquet round 7 best performance: Joaquin Gamazo- July 1, 2022
The 31-year old player had a double-double of 30 points and 20 rebounds, while his team beat Tenis (#9, 0-6), the league's bottom-ranked team 96-89. La Salle maintains the 4th position in Bolivian Libobasquet. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost two games earlier this season. La Salle will need more victories to improve their 3-2 record. Gamazo has many years of experience at La Salle, through which he has constantly improved. Joaquin Gamazo has solid league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 28.6ppg and leads league in rebounds with 16.6rpg. Gamazo is in league's top in and averages impressive 64.8% FGP. The second best player in last round's games was young American Thomas Cooper (196-G-1992) of league's leader Leones. Cooper had a very good evening with 31 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course Leones cruised to a 79-69 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked San Simon (#3, 5-2). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Leones consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 6 games without any defeat. Cooper is one of the most experienced players at Leones and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.3ppg (#3). He also registered 7.0 boards per game. Third on the list of top players last round was Argentinian Francisco Bonja of UNITEP (#8). Bonja scored 28 points and grabbed eighteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Bonja's great performance UNITEP lost 69-80 to the higher-ranked Saracho (#5, 3-3). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. UNITEP can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-5 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Bonja has individually a great season in Bolivia. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.6ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 15.8rpg (2nd best). We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
