Argentinian Francisco Bonja put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for UNITEP and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The had a double-double of 32 points and thirteen rebounds, while his team beat Tenis (#9, 0-7), the league's bottom-ranked team 92-81. UNITEP is placed at 7th position in Bolivian Libobasquet. The season is still in it's early stage, so the team may have a chance to improve their current position in the standings. They lost 5 games and had just two victories. In the team's last game Bonja had a remarkable 81.8% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at UNITEP, through which he has constantly improved. Bonja has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 25.0ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 15.3rpg) and averages solid 1.7bpg and 60.7% FGP.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Argentinian power forward Joaquin Gamazo (198-PF-1991) of La Salle. Gamazo impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 21 points and 19 rebounds. Bad luck as La Salle lost that game 69-86 to the higher-ranked Pichincha (#2, 6-1). This loss caused La Salle to drop to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 3-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Gamazo is one of the most experienced players at La Salle and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 27.3ppg (#1). He also registered 17.0 boards per game.
The third best performed player last round was another UNITEP's star - Argentinian Nicolas Rodriguez. Rodriguez showcased his all-around game by recording 28 points, ten rebounds and five assists in the last round. He was another key player of UNITEP, helping his team with a 92-81 win against Tenis (#9, 0-7). UNITEP can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-5 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Rodriguez has individually a great season in Bolivia. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.1ppg (7th best).

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
