Libobasquet is at the halfway of the Regular Season and there are still another 9 rounds left. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

First defeat of league's leader Leones (6-1) against sixth ranked Saracho (4-4) 94-92 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Leones. Saracho made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. It was a good game for Argentinian forward Facundo Sanz (197-1996, agency: BIG) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 20 rebounds and 8 assists. Argentinian power forward Nicolas Gimenez (203-1994) contributed with 32 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. American guard Thomas Cooper (196-1992, college: Calgary) answered with 29 points and 5 rebounds for Leones. Leones' coach Carlos Romano rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Saracho maintains sixth place with 4-4 record. Leones at the other side dropped to the second position with one game lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Pichincha. Leones will play next round against Tenis trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Saracho will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Pichincha as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Pichincha smashed 7th ranked UNITEP at home 84-33. Brazilian point guard Patrick Vieira (186-1993) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and Diego Santana chipped in 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was Argentinian Francisco Bonja with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Pichincha (7-1) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. As mentioned above they took over a top position. UNITEP at the other side keeps the seventh place with six games lost. UNITEP will play next round against Univ.Sucre trying to get back on the winning streak. Pichincha will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Atomico at home.
Bottom-ranked Tenis is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their eighth consecutive match to fifth ranked Atomico (4-3) 90-54 on Wednesday evening. Rodrigo Acuna nailed 27 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Ronald Farmer-Blanchard came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds for Tenis in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Atomico moved-up to fourth place, which they share with La Salle. Tenis lost their eighth game in a row. They still close the standings with eight games lost. Atomico will meet league's leader Pichincha on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tenis will play against the league's second-placed Leones (#2) and hope to get finally their first victory.

In the last game of round 9 La Salle beat Univ.Sucre on the road 79-74.
