Leader Pichincha delivered the fifteenth win on Saturday night. This time they crushed 7th ranked UNITEP (3-13) 116-78. Pichincha forced 20 UNITEP turnovers. 28 personal fouls committed by UNITEP helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Cuban guard Adriano Barreras (186-1989) who scored 27 points. Diego Santana chipped in 12 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Argentinian Nicolas Rodriguez who recorded 31 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Pichincha (15-1) have an impressive 14-game winning streak. They maintain first position. UNITEP at the other side dropped to the eighth place with 13 games lost.
Bottom-ranked Tenis (0-16) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 106-70 loss to fourth ranked Atomico (10-5) in . It was a good game for Argentinian swingman Matias Martinez (195-1994) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Juan Morales contributed with 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Atomico's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Facundo Moran replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds for Tenis. Atomico have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Tenis at the other side still closes the standings.

Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Leones maintains second position with 12-3 record having four points less than leader Pichincha. Loser Saracho keeps the fifth place with seven games lost.

In the last game of round 18 Univ.Sucre was crushed by La Salle in Tarija 94-75.

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 7th ranked Univ.Sucre's (3-12) road loss to sixth ranked La Salle (8-7) 75-94 on Friday. It was a great shooting night for La Salle especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Univ.Sucre's players. Argentinian Eduardo Gamboa (189-1984) scored 33 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 8 assists (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Argentinian Joaquin Gamazo (198-1991) chipped in 14 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Argentinian center Sebastian Chaine (201-1986) with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and Argentinian forward Lucas Gallardo (199-2001) scored 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. La Salle maintains sixth position with 8-7 record. Univ.Sucre lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 12 games lost.

Leones dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to Saracho's 22. Leones forced 24 Saracho turnovers and outrebounded them 49-32 including 35 on the defensive glass. The former international point guard Ronald Arze (175-1993) had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Westley Hinton (206-1991, college: Troy) chipped in 25 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Five Leones players scored in double figures.
