Atomico - Leones 74-71

Calero Potosi grabbed 2-1 lead against Leones following a narrow home win. Atomico made 31-of-36 free shots (86.1 percent) during the game. Atomico outrebounded Leones 41-30 including 34 on the defensive glass. 26 personal fouls committed by Leones helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for Argentinian swingman Matias Martinez (195-1994) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. Argentinian point guard Juan Morales (183-1994) helped adding 21 points and 5 rebounds (went 15 for 15 at the free throw line !!!). The best for the losing side was American guard Thomas Cooper (196-1992, college: Calgary) with 18 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import forward Westley Hinton (206-1991, college: Troy) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four Leones players scored in double figures. Leones' coach Carlos Romano tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.

San Simon - Pichincha 64-83

Pichincha stormed past San Simon to complete the sweep of the series. Pichincha outrebounded San Simon 44-31 including 32 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for Cuban guard Adriano Barreras (186-1989) who led the winners and scored 28 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Hunter Preston (201, college: Columbus St.) accounted for 16 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. Pichincha's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Akil McClain (188-1997, college: IU Kokomo) came up with 19 points and 9 rebounds and Argentinian power forward Gianfranco Sinconi (204-1994) added 8 points and 9 rebounds respectively for San Simon in the defeat.
