Romero's double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

40-year old center Diego Romero (206-C-1982) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Carl A-Z and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
He had a double-double of 19 points and 20 rebounds, while his team edged out Pichincha (1-2) 65-62. Carl A-Z is placed at 7th position in Bolivian league. Carl A-Z is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-2 record. Romero just recently signed at Carl A-Z and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Florida State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Romero leads league in rebounds with 18.5rpg. Romero is in league's top in assists (6th best: 3.5apg) and averages solid 2.0bpg and 50.0% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Felipe De Paula (202-PF-1991) of Calero. He is Brazilian forward in his first season at Calero. In the last game De Paula recorded impressive double-double of 20 points and 19 rebounds. Bad luck as Calero was edged by La Paz (2-2) 90-87. The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. De Paula is one of the most experienced players at Calero and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Haylen Washington (196-G-1994) of Univ.Sucre (#5). Washington scored 27 points and grabbed eight rebounds. He was a key player of Univ.Sucre, leading his team to a 83-66 easy win against Leones (#8, 1-2). Univ.Sucre needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 1 lost games. Washington has a very solid season. In 3 games in Bolivia he scored 17.0ppg. Washington attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.
