Trey Jones claims Bolivian Libobasquet Hoops Agents weekly honour- April 18, 2023
The 24-year old guard had a double-double of 35 points and ten rebounds, while his team edged out San Simon (2-3) 90-86. Calero is placed at 8th position in Bolivian Libobasquet. Calero is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-3 record. In the team's last game Jones had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range and got six three-pointers out of 14 attempts. He just recently signed at Calero, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Bluefield College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Jones is in league's top in points (6th best: 20.4ppg) and averages solid 54.9% FGP. The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Serbian power forward Milos Petkovic (204-F/C-1991) of San Simon. Petkovic impressed basketball fans with 29 points and 8 rebounds. Bad luck as San Simon was edged by Calero (2-3) 90-86. San Simon managed to keep the same 6th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 2-3 record. Petkovic is one of the most experienced players at San Simon and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.5ppg (#5). He also registered 9.8 boards per game. The third best performed player last round was another Calero's star - Brazilian Felipe De Paula (202-PF-1991). De Paula scored 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds. He was another key player of Calero, helping his team with a 90-86 win against San Simon (2-3). The chances of Calero ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 3 games, recording just two victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, De Paula could help Calero to bring them higher in the standings. De Paula has a great season in Bolivia. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.4rpg (3rd best). Other top performing players last week: 4. Ronald Arze (175-PG-1993) of Leones - 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists 5. Jose Perez (191-G/F-2000) of Pichincha - 12 points and 8 rebounds 6. Agustin Carreon (190-G-2000) of Calero - 21 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists 7. Lucas Gallardo (199-F-2001) of San Simon - 9 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists 8. Rene Calvo (193-F/G-1993) of Pichincha - 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists 9. Jonathan Greenfield (190-G/F) of Pichincha - 9 points, 2 rebounds and 5 assists 10. Jose Zorrilla (188-G-2001) of San Simon - 14 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc. The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
