The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Pichincha as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Pichincha defeated 3rd placed San Simon at home 85-81. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of San Simon. It was a key game for the top position in the league. La Paz maintains tenth place with 3-11 record. Calero at the other side keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. They share it with Leones. The game with biggest result difference took place in Sucre. Local Univ.Sucre (8-6) beat 10th ranked La Paz (3-11) 101-93 on Thursday night. Haylen Washington stepped up with a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Irin Stark responded with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 13 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Univ.Sucre moved-up to fourth place. Loser La Paz stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost.

In the last game of round 17 CAN Oruro was defeated by Leones in Potosi 71-64.

La Paz - Calero 74-67

Bottom-ranked La Paz managed to get a third victory. This time they won against sixth-ranked Calero 74-67. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Calero. Everything could happen in Potosi at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked Leones and 9th ranked CAN Oruro had identical 5-7 record. This time Leones used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Oruro 71-64 on Thursday night. Leones outrebounded CAN Oruro 49-30 including a 38-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Julian Morales stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and American forward James Edmond (205-1991, college: Lincoln, MO) chipped in 14 points and 10 rebounds. Argentinian forward Juan Martin Bello (200-1999) responded with 26 points and 5 steals and American swingman Deondre Wade (194, college: Seminole St.) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. CAN Oruro's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Leones maintains sixth place with 6-7 record, which they share with Calero. CAN Oruro lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with eight games lost. They share it with Saracho.

Univ.Sucre looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American guard Haylen Washington (196-1994, college: Co.Georgia) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and his fellow American import guard Torey James (198-2000, college: Co.Georgia) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds. Washington is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The former international guard Irin Stark (185-1989, college: STAC) responded with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 13 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and Cuban center Dariel Maza (-1991) scored 23 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Univ.Sucre moved-up to fourth place. Loser La Paz stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost.
