Bolivian Libobasquet round 19 best performance: Irin Stark- July 3, 2023
The 34-year old player was the main contributor (25 points, seven rebounds and eight assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush Saracho (#9, 6-9) with 20-point margin 100-80. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. La Paz maintains the 10th position in Bolivian Libobasquet. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked at the very bottom. They already lost 11 games and recorded just four victories. In the team's last game Stark had a remarkable 72.7% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at La Paz, through which he has constantly improved. Former St. Thomas Aquinas College star has very solid stats this year. Stark is in league's top in points (3rd best: 24.4ppg) and averages impressive 50.9% FGP. The second best player in last round's games was another La Paz's star - young Cuban Dariel Maza (C-1991). Maza had a very good evening with 31 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course together with Stark he helped La Paz with another comfortable win outscoring slightly higher-ranked Saracho (#9, 6-9) 100-80. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. La Paz is still at the dead bottom 10th position. 11 lost games are too many comparing to just four victories La Paz managed to get this year. Maza is one of the most experienced players at La Paz and similarly like Irin Stark has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. Third on the list of top players last round was Argentinian forward Juan Cruz Oberto (200-F/C-1997) of Calero (#6). Oberto got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for twelve rebounds . Despite Oberto's great performance Calero lost 74-85 to slightly higher-ranked Carl A-Z (#4, 8-7). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Calero ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 8 games, recording just seven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Oberto could help Calero to bring them higher in the standings. Oberto has a very solid season. In 4 games in Bolivia he scored 23.8ppg. Other top performing players last week: 4. Rolando Vallejos (195-SF-2000) of San Simon - 23 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists 5. Haylen Washington (196-G-1994) of Univ.Sucre - 21 points, 13 rebounds and 3 assists 6. Roberto Orresta (177-PG-1991) of Carl A-Z - 36 points, 2 rebounds and 7 assists 7. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
