Leones held off Atletico Nacional to sweep the championship series. It was a good game for Julian Morales who led his team to a victory with 21 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. American swingman Spencer Collins (194-1993, college: Wofford) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Leones' coach Mariano Aguilar allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The former international forward Cristhian Camargo (194-1992) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds and Cuban-\n guard Adriano Barreras (186-1989) added 18 points in the effort for Atletico Nacional. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.

The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Axel Veizaga (182-1996) who scored 37 points (!!!) (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). Argentinian Eduardo Gamboa (189-1984) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Four Pichincha players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Argentinian center Diego Romero (206-1982, college: FSU) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points, 19 rebounds and 7 assists and Samuel Valverde (-1999) added 30 points and 4 assists respectively.
