Libobasquet 2024 - Decorey Jones joins Pichincha

Decorey Jones

CDyC Pichincha de Potosi (Libobasquet) agreed terms with 33-year old American shooting guard Decorey Jones (201cm-1990, college: Faulkner) for new 2024 season. Jones played last summer at Magic (EBA) in the U.S. He helped them to win the group title.
Jones is quite experienced player. Jones' career allowed him to visit five different continents, while he played in twelve different countries. He tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America, Australia and of course North America. Jones has played previously professionally in Argentina (Huracan), Australia (Mildura Heat, Noarlunga City Southern Tigers and Eastern Mavericks), Chile (Club Deportes Espanol de Talca), Indonesia (CLS Knights and Pacific Caesar), Japan (Big Bulls), Malaysia, Spain (Zamora), Canada (Moncton Magic), Armenia (Aragats), Thailand (PEA, Kabayan and Mekong United BC), Norway (Nidaros Jets) and Bolivia (CA Ramallo Lafuente A-Z Oruro).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Norwegian BLNO Honorable Mention back in 2016.
He graduated from Faulkner University in 2012 and it will be his 13th (!!!) season as a professional player. He played also for Bossier-Parish Community College for one year.
On Jones: Decorey Jones is a Dynamic Swingman that can score in a variety of ways. Jones has the ability to put the ball on the floor and go coast to coast and is unstoppable in the open court transition game finishing strong at the basket.
Jones is a great long-range shooter and can create his own shot. Very effective on pick and roll, can also take his man into the post and score over him. Good free throw shooter, Great rebounder. Extremely long arms allow him to grab steals and block shots to guard the 4-5 postition. He has a 6'8” wingspan.
