Diego Romero claims Bolivian Libobasquet weekly honour

Experienced Argentinian Diego Romero (206-C-1982) had an amazing evening in the last round for CA Ramallo Lafuente A-Z Oruro and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 41-year old center had a double-double of 19 points and 17 rebounds, while his team beat La Paz (#10, 0-7), the league's bottom-ranked team 88-82. Carl A-Z is placed at 6th position in Bolivian Libobasquet. Carl A-Z is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-4 record. Romero turned to be Carl A-Z's top player in his first season with the team. Florida State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Romero leads league in rebounds with 12.7rpg. Romero is in league's top in assists (2nd best: 5.7apg) and averages solid 2.7spg,63.6% FGP and 57.1% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American power forward Tirrell Brown (198-PF-1993) of Kinwa Club. Brown impressed basketball fans with 27 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Kinwa was edged by the higher-ranked Leones (#4, 4-3) 86-83. This loss caused Kinwa to drop to 7th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 2-4 record. Brown is one of the most experienced players at Kinwa and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.7ppg (#6). He also registered 6.2 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Jonathan Greenfield (190-G/F) of Baquetbol La Paz (#10). Greenfield got into 30-points club by scoring 33 points in the last round. He went also for eight rebounds . Despite Greenfield's great performance the La Paz lost 82-88 to the higher-ranked Carl A-Z (#6, 2-4). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. La Paz can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 7 games. Greenfield has individually a great season in Bolivia. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.3ppg (2nd best).
