However their fans expected much easier game. Tarija Basquet outrebounded CAN Oruro 69-47 including a 49-33 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Jamar Sandifer (193-1997, college: SWOSU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Mateo Ortiz (199-2000) contributed with 26 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Argentinian forward Gonzalo Romero (196-1997) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for CAN Oruro. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Tarija Basquet have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain third place with 6-2 record behind leader CAN Potosi. CAN Oruro lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. They share it with Kinwa and Saracho. Bottom-ranked La Paz is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their seventh consecutive match to seventh ranked Univ.Sucre (3-4) 91-85 on Wednesday evening. American players dominated the game. It was an exceptional evening for Haylen Washington who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 7 assists. David Greer came up with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 19 rebounds for La Paz in the defeat. Univ.Sucre moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Carl A-Z. La Paz lost their seventh game in a row. They still close the standings with seven games lost. Univ.Sucre will meet Kinwa (#8) in the next round. La Paz will play against Saracho and hopes to get finally their first victory.
In the last two games of round 7 Pichincha beat Saracho on the road 98-90. Carl A-Z destroyed Kinwa on its own court 103-83.
