Bolivian Libobasquet round 8 best performance: Irin Stark

American Guard Irin Stark (185-G-1989) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for CA Ramallo Lafuente A-Z Oruro, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 34-year old player tried to help (42 points, two rebounds and three assists) his team in a lost game to CAN Potosi (#1, 8-0) 90-124. Carl A-Z maintains the 6th position in Bolivian Libobasquet. Carl A-Z is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. But it was their 5th lost game this season out of 8 games. In the team's last game Stark had a remarkable 72.7% from 2-point range and got six three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He just recently signed at Carl A-Z, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former St. Thomas Aquinas College star has very solid stats this year. Stark is in league's top in points (6th best: 21.8ppg) and averages impressive 56.8% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Sergio Herbas (PG-2003) of Baquetbol La Paz. Herbas had a very good evening with 29 points, 2 rebounds and 7 assists. It was enough for La Paz to edge the higher-ranked Saracho (#7, 2-6) 103-100. Despite this victory they still are the league outsider. 7 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory La Paz managed to get this year. Herbas is one of the most experienced players at La Paz and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.8ppg (#7). He also registered 4.3 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was another La Paz's star - American center David Greer (213-C). Greer scored 24 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Baquetbol La Paz, helping his team with a 103-100 win against the higher-ranked Saracho (#7, 2-6). La Paz can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 1-7 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Greer has individually a great season in Bolivia. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.7rpg (2nd best).
