Jamar Sandifer claims Bolivian Libobasquet weekly honour

American Jamar Sandifer (193-G-1997) had a great game in the last round for Tarija Basquet and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 26-year old guard had a double-double of 31 points and 14 rebounds, while his team outclassed La Paz (#10, 1-8) with 30-point margin 93-63. Tarija Basquet maintains the 3rd position in Bolivian Libobasquet. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Tarija Basquet will need more victories to improve their 7-2 record. In the team's last game Sandifer had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He just recently signed at Tarija Basquet, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Southwestern Oklahoma State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Sandifer is in league's top in points (4th best: 22.4ppg), rebounds (7th best: 9.7rpg) and averages solid 59.2% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Argentinian power forward Edgardo Torne (198-F/C-1989, agency: BIG) of Kinwa Club. Torne impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 30 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Kinwa lost that game 80-88 to slightly higher-ranked Saracho (#7, 3-6). This loss caused Kinwa to drop to 9th position in the standings. 7 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Kinwa managed to get this year. Torne is one of the most experienced players at Kinwa and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American Haylen Washington (196-G-1994) of Club Universitario de Sucre (#5). Washington scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Despite Washington's great performance the Univ.Sucre lost 72-88 to slightly higher-ranked Leones (#4, 6-3). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Univ.Sucre ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 5 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Washington could help Univ.Sucre to bring them higher in the standings. Washington has a great season in Bolivia. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.6rpg (8th best). Washington attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.
