The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Oruro: CAN Oruro (#8) and Carl A-Z (#6). CAN Oruro (4-6) won against visiting Carl A-Z (3-6) 104-97. CAN Oruro outrebounded Carl A-Z 41-20 including a 14-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. CAN Oruro looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Pedro Gutierrez (182-1996) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 8 assists. Argentinian forward Gonzalo Romero (196-1997) contributed with 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Argentinian point guard Roberto Orresta (177-1991) replied with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for Carl A-Z. CAN Oruro moved-up to sixth place. Carl A-Z at the other side dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. CAN Oruro are looking forward to face bottom-ranked La Paz (#10) on the road in the next round. Carl A-Z will play against Univ.Sucre and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Libobasquet top team - CAN Potosi (9-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat seventh ranked Saracho (3-7) in Oruro 108-90. The former international swingman Rene Calvo (193-1993) scored 28 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Milos Petkovic chipped in 14 points and 7 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots) during the contest. CAN Potosi's coach David Pardo allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side Argentinian Alvaro Caraffa (199-2000, agency: BIG) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds. Undefeated CAN Potosi have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-0 record. Saracho at the other side dropped to the eighth place with seven games lost. CAN Potosi will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Saracho will play on the road against Leones (#4) in Potosi and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game between second ranked Pichincha (8-2) and 10th ranked La Paz (1-9) in Pichincha on Monday ended with biggest points difference. Pichincha outscored guests from La Paz 106-65. Decorey Jones notched 34 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds to lead the effort. Even 28 points and 5 rebounds by Jonathan Greenfield did not help to save the game for La Paz. Pichincha maintains second position with 8-2 record behind leader CAN Potosi, which they share with Tarija Basquet. Loser La Paz stay at the bottom place with nine games lost. Pichincha will meet Kinwa (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. La Paz will play against CAN Oruro and hope to win that game.

In the last game of round 10 Kinwa was smashed by Tarija Basquet on the road 102-75.
The most impressive performance of 10th round was 26 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by Juan Cognigni of Kinwa.




Saracho - CAN Potosi 90-108

Libobasquet top team - CAN Potosi (9-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat seventh ranked Saracho (3-7) in Oruro 108-90. CAN Potosi dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Saracho's 36. CAN Potosi players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. The former international swingman Rene Calvo (193-1993) scored 28 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Serbian power forward Milos Petkovic (204-1991) chipped in 14 points and 7 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots) during the contest.
