Bolivian Libobasquet round 11 best performance: Diego Olguin

Diego Olguin

International Guard Diego Olguin (186-G-1995) had an amazing evening in the last round for Club Leones Potosi Basquetbol, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 28-year old player had a double-double of 24 points and 12 rebounds, while his team outclassed Saracho (#8, 3-8) with 34-point margin 103-69. Leones maintains the 4th position in Bolivian Libobasquet. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Leones will need more victories to improve their 7-3 record. In the team's last game Olguin had a remarkable 83.3% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Leones, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Diego Olguin averages this season 9.4ppg.

The second best player in last round's games was American David Greer (213-C) of Baquetbol La Paz. Greer had a very good evening with a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as La Paz lost that game 79-84 to the higher-ranked CAN Oruro (#6, 5-6). La Paz are still at the very bottom. 10 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory La Paz managed to get this year. Greer is one of the most experienced players at La Paz and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Haylen Washington (196-G-1994) of Club Universitario de Sucre (#5). Washington scored 23 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. He was a key player of Univ.Sucre, leading his team to a 80-78 win against slightly lower-ranked Carl A-Z (#7, 3-7). Univ.Sucre needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 5 lost games. Washington has a great season in Bolivia. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.3rpg (7th best). Washington attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.
