Haylen Washington was second best scorer of the day in the world yesterday with the 35 points he had in Univ.Sucre

35 points scored by 31 year old American guard Haylen Washington (196-G-1994, college: Co.Georgia) made him the second highest scoring player of the day in the world. His team Univ.Sucre lost to the Pichincha 73 to 75. He also grabbed 12 rebounds that game. Washington is the 6th best scorer in the league averaging over 19 points and 9 rebounds per game. 7 out of the top 10 highest scorers in the league are alumni of US colleges.
He has played previously professionally in the US and TBL (Atlanta E.).
Among many awards he was selected to the All-TSC First Team back in 2018 during his college time. He was also selected to the Latinbasket.com All-Bolivian Libobasquet Second Team in 2023. Washington was selected as the All-NAIA D2 Honorable Mention back in 2018.
He was also awarded Player of the Week in the Bolivian League.
