Pichincha - Tarija Basquet 78-77

American center Amadi Ikpeze (208, college: St.Bonaventure) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. Argentinian swingman Damian Pineda (194-1988) chipped in 9 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Pichincha players scored in double figures. American guard Jamar Sandifer (193-1997, college: SWOSU) produced 29 points and 5 rebounds and the former international swingman Mateo Ortiz (199-2000) added 17 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Tarija Basquet's coach Leonardo Villagra rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.

CAN Potosi dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Leones' 30 and made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Leones 36-23 including a 29-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Cuban guard Adriano Barreras (186-1989) who helped to win the game recording 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international swingman Rene Calvo (193-1993) contributed with 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Argentinian power forward Juan Cruz Oberto (200-1997) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and Michael Viscarra (-2001) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Leones. Four CAN Potosi and five Leones players scored in double figures.
