Cuban Daniel Simon (185-G-1996) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's leader CA Ramallo Lafuente A-Z Oruro and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 28-year old guard had a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds, while his team edged out Calero (#7, 0-2), the league's bottom-ranked team 78-75. It allowed Carl A-Z to jump to the first place in the Bolivian Libobasquet. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Carl A-Z won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Simon just recently signed at Carl A-Z and it was his first game, where he immediately became new team's leader. Simon has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (3rd best: 21.0ppg), rebounds (6th best: 10.0rpg) and averages solid 3.0spg and 60.0% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young forward Esteban Covarrubias (190-F-2001) of CD Calero de Potosi. Covarrubias impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 32 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Calero was edged by Carl A-Z (1-0) 78-75. The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Covarrubias is one of the most experienced players at Calero and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.5ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 7.5rpg and 4.0apg.

The third best performed player last round was international swingman Jose Perez (191-G/F-2000) of second-ranked Kinwa Club. Perez scored 25 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. He was a key player of Kinwa, leading his team to a 91-83 win against CAN Oruro (#8, 0-2). Kinwa has a very good start of the season. But there was just one game played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Perez also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. The season just started for Perez as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.

8. Juan Calvo (186-SF-1999) of Univ.Sucre - 15 points, 13 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Samuel Valverde (SG-1999) of Kinwa - 12 points, 3 rebounds and 9 assists
10. Andres Trujillo (184-F-1999) of Pichincha - 21 points and 6 rebounds
