Bolivian Libobasquet round 10 best performance: Diego Olguin

International Guard Diego Olguin (186-G-1995) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Club Leones Potosi Basquetbol, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 30-year old player had a double-double of 26 points and 13 rebounds, while his team edged out Kinwa (#4, 7-4) 71-68. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Leones is placed at 2nd position in Bolivian Libobasquet. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Leones will need more victories to improve their 8-3 record. In the team's last game Olguin had a remarkable four three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He has many years of experience at Leones, through which he has constantly improved. Diego Olguin has solid league stats. He is in league's top in assists (2nd best: 5.0apg) and averages impressive 3.8spg and 61.2% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Haylen Washington (196-G-1994) of Club Universitario de Sucre. Washington had a very good evening with 26 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course Univ.Sucre cruised to a 104-93 relatively comfortable win over CAN Oruro (#8, 0-11). This victory allowed Univ.Sucre to move up to 3rd position in the standings. His team's 7-4 record is not bad at all. Washington is one of the most experienced players at Univ.Sucre and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.7ppg (#3). He also registered 10.7 boards per game. Former College of Coastal Georgia star Washington is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Univ.Sucre's star - international swingman Rene Calvo (193-F/G-1993). Calvo showcased his all-around game by recording 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. He was another key player of Club Universitario de Sucre, helping his team with a 104-93 win against CAN Oruro (#8, 0-11). Univ.Sucre needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 4 lost games. Calvo has a great season in Bolivia. After 11 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.9ppg (4th best), rebounds with 12.0rpg (2nd best) and assists with 4.8apg (6th best).
