CAN Potosi looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Forward Gonzalo Romero (196-1997) scored 17 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Carlos Gonzales (-2002) chipped in 19 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four CAN Potosi players scored in double figures. Alejandro Vedia (-1997) responded with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Cuban guard Daniel Simon (185-1996) scored 9 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

Leones dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to Pichincha's 16.
