Pichincha shot 26 for 35 from the free-throw line, while Leones only scored six points from the stripe. Pichincha players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Leones were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Argentinian Valentin Duvanced (, agency: BIG) who led his team to a victory with 25 points and 7 rebounds. The former international forward Andres Trujillo (184-1999) contributed with 21 points and 6 assists for the winners. Uruguayan point guard Mauro Zubiaurre (189-1994) replied with 29 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international point guard Ronald Arze (175-1993) added 16 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in the effort for Leones. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Leones' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.

Univ.Sucre made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. Univ.Sucre outrebounded CAN Potosi 41-30 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Univ.Sucre especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. The best player for the winners was American guard Haylen Washington (196-1994, college: Co.Georgia) who scored 37 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). Ralfi Silva chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds. Washington is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Univ.Sucre players scored in double figures. Univ.Sucre's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Gonzalo Romero (196-1997) who recorded 13 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Erick Mendizabal (-1999) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively.
