Forward Gonzalo Romero (196-1997) fired 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Alan Castro (-2002) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. Univ.Sucre dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Leones' 26. Univ.Sucre had a 36-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Haylen Washington (196-1994, college: Co.Georgia) who helped to win the game recording 31 points and 5 rebounds. The former international Pedro Gutierrez (182-1996) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Washington is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Uruguayan point guard Mauro Zubiaurre (189-1994) answered with 12 points and the former international point guard Ronald Arze (175-1993) added 7 points and 5 assists in the effort for Leones. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
