Sesi/Araraquara conquered the LBF title. They overcame Sampaio Basquete 74-62 in the decisive fifth game of the championship series. Aline Moura (185-F/C-1997) posted 22 points and 14 rebounds to lead the winners.
Sesi/Araraquara eked out a 17-14 lead after ten minutes. Sampaio managed to pull within two at the big break 29-31. Sesi/Araraquara stepped on the gas in the third term. They unloaded 27 points to secure a 15-point lead at the final break. Sampaio narrowed the gap in the fourth frame but could not avoid the loss at the end. Maila Ciciardi (168-G-1993) delivered 13 points for the champions. Erika De Souza (197-C-1982) answered with 14 points and 13 rebounds, while Emanuely De Oliveira (178-F-1999, college: Florida) had 13 points in the loss.
