League status
The Novo Basquete Brasil (TBB) is the first-tier professional basketball league in Brazil. NBB was established in 1965.
The NBB sits above the Campeonato Brasileiro de Clubes de Basquete which effectively forms the second-tier of Brazilian basketball.
At the end of regular season, top 16 teams qualify to the play-offs.
The bottom team is relegated to Campeonato Brasileiro de Clubes de Basquete.
Limits of non-Brazilian players per team: 4 import players (non-Europeans), 0 Bosman players (with European passport) . Total number of allowed imports and Bosmans is 4.
