Uniceub/BRB defended their NBB title. They shot down Sao Jose/Vinac in the championship game tonight to claim the third straight NBB title. Guilherme Giovannoni (202-F-80, agency: Interperformances) knocked down 26 points and grabbed 8 rebounds to lead the winners.
The defending champions gave little chance for the regular season champs. Uniceub/BRB grabbed an 18:10 lead after ten minutes. Sao Jose/Vinac managed to cut the deficit to 5 points at halftime 29:34. But the third term belonged to the visitors. Uniceub/BRB went on a 20:10 run to clear off. They enjoyed a comfortable 15-point lead before the final term and fired 25 points in the fourth frame to seal the winning outcome. Arthur Silva (199-F/G-82) dropped 16 points, while Alex Ribeiro (191-G-80, agency: Interperformances) contributed 15 points and 11 rebounds in the victory. Murilo Becker (210-C/F-83) answered with 20 points and 14 rebounds for Sao Jose/Vinac. Dede Stefanelli (196-F/G-84) produced 16 points in the loss.

Mogi is Champion of Brazil Super Cup! - May 20, 2012

Mogi das Cruzes (SP) - Teams from Mogi / Sanifill come into court and Palmeiras on Saturday (19) who have already qualified for the NBB-2013. And they made a grand finale of the Super Cup in Brazil. With a better basketball and even encouraged by their huge crowd present, the team Mogi won 102-87 (49-35), and won the title of the competition which is organized by the Brazilian Confederation of Basketball, in partnership with the city of Mogi of Crosses. Mogi / Sanifill Palmeiras reached the final and motivated with their respective victories on Friday, results that give both the right to compete in the National League (NBB), provided they meet the same requirements. Both teams started the game willing to make a great game. NBB Brazil wins the All-Star over NBB World, Murilo chosen as MVP - Mar 11, 2012

With show, NBB Brazil 'gives the change' and wins over the NBB foreigners, 125-102. Murilo was chosen as MVP.

The game was festive, but the Brazilians wanted to bring back victory to defeat the foreigners after 2011 loss. And the goal was accomplished. After getting upset in the second quarter, the NBB Brazil did not lose the lead on the scoreboard. In the end, victory to green and yellow, 125-102.

Two leading scorers of the game were from NBB World Shamell and Jeff Agba, 21 and 20 points respectively. But it was NBB Brazil player who was elected the MVP of the match. The forward Murilo with 15 points, six rebounds and 22 in the efficiency ratio, was chosen Most Valuable Player of the match.

Also from Brazilian team, Arthur stood out with 16 points, and Nezinho that even under the booing crowd Francana, had good performance with nine points and 11 assists.

The NBB tournament organized by the National Basketball League (LNB), in partnership with Globo and sponsorship Eletrobras, Cash, Penalty and Netshoes.

The NBB World began with the starting five formed by Larry, Shamell, Sowell, Kammerichs and Jeff Agba, while the NBB Brazil launched the court with Fulvio, Alex, Marcelo, and Murilo Giovannoni.

After the end of the match, Murilo was announced as MVP and received the trophy from the President of the National Basketball League (LNB), Kouros Monadjemi.
