Campinas outrebounded Sampaio 45-32 including 33 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Cuban point guard Ineidis Casanova (162-1988) who scored 26 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Senegalese center Fatou Diagne (195-1996, college: Houston) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. International forward Vanessa Goncalves (185-1994) produced 21 points and international forward Raphaella Monteiro (181-1995) added 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts.

Ituano shot 19 for 26 from the free-throw line, while SESI only scored three points from the stripe. Power forward Gabriela De Paula (180-1996) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds. Center Monique Pereira (190-1996) contributed with 6 points, 16 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Leticia Josefino replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds and the former international forward Emanuely De Oliveira (178-1999, college: Florida) added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for SESI. Four SESI players scored in double figures. SESI's coach Joao Camargo rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
