The game was mostly controlled by SESI. Sampaio managed to win second period 15-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. SESI dominated on the defensive end, holding Sampaio to just 4 points in first quarter. They made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. SESI forced 25 Sampaio turnovers. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Aline Moura (185-1997) who scored 22 points and 7 rebounds. The former international Vitoria Domingos (181-1996) chipped in 11 points and 6 rebounds. Four SESI players scored in double figures. SESI's coach Joao Camargo felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was international forward Raphaella Monteiro (181-1995) who recorded 13 points and 4 assists and the former international swingman Carina Martins (175-1992) added 12 points respectively.
