Brazilian Paulista round 1 best performance: Thaissa Frediani (by Hoops Agents)

Guard Thaissa Frediani (16-G-1989) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked BAX Catanduva, receiving a Hoops Agents Paulista Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 35-year old player was the main contributor (17 points, five rebounds and four assists) to her team's victory, helping them to beat Pro-Esport S. (#7, 0-1), the league's bottom-ranked team 84-72. Catanduva maintains the 2nd position in Brazilian Paulista. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Catanduva won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Frediani had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range. She has many years of experience at Catanduva, through which she has constantly improved. Thaissa Frediani has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (5th best: 17.0ppg), assists (7th best: 4.0apg) and averages impressive 3.0spg,55.6% FGP and 50.0% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young international power forward Licinara Rodrigues (184-F/C-1999) of league's leader Unimed Campinas Basquete. Third on the list of top players last round was another Catanduva's star - center Brenda Barros (186-C-2000). Barros scored 17 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. She was another key player of BAX Catanduva, helping her team with a 84-72 win against Pro-Esport S. (#7, 0-1). Catanduva has a very good start of the season. But there was just one game played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Barros also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. The season just started for Barros as she played only first game. But it already looks like she can be another team's leader.
