Cuban point guard Ineidis Casanova (162-1988) contributed with 28 points for the winners. Center Brenda Barros (186-2000) answered with 16 points and 9 rebounds for Catanduva. Catanduva's coach Cesamar Fernandes rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Campinas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Catanduva will play at home against Santo Andre and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
