Power forward Evelyn Mariano (180-F/C-1997) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked AD Santo Andre, receiving a Hoops Agents Paulista Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 27-year old player was the main contributor (25 points, four rebounds and four assists) to her team's victory, helping them to crush Catanduva (#6, 1-2) with 19-point margin 92-73. Santo Andre is placed at 2nd position in Brazilian Paulista. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Santo Andre will need more victories to improve their 2-1 record. In the team's last game Mariano had a remarkable 100.0% from 2-point range. She has many years of experience at Santo Andre, through which she has constantly improved. Evelyn Mariano has solid league stats.
