Aline Moura claims Brazilian Paulista Hoops Agents weekly honour

International Power forward Aline Moura (185-F/C-1997) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for SESI Araraquara Basquete and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Paulista Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 27-year old power forward had a double-double of 24 points and 13 rebounds, while her team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Pro-Esport S. (#9, 0-8) with 81-point margin 107-26. SESI maintains the 4th position in Brazilian Paulista. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. SESI will need more victories to improve their 5-3 record. In the team's last game Moura had a remarkable 76.9% from 2-point range. She has many years of experience at SESI, through which she has constantly improved. Moura has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (4th best: 16.8ppg), rebounds (6th best: 9.8rpg) and averages solid 57.1% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international point guard Joice Rodrigues (174-PG-1986) of second-ranked Ituano Basquete. Rodrigues impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 12 points and 14 assists. Of course she led Ituano to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Catanduva (#8, 1-7) 95-64. This victory allowed Ituano to move up to second position in the standings. Her team lost just one game this season, while they won 7 matches. Rodrigues is one of the most experienced players at Ituano and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Milena Rodrigues (174-F-1998) of Corinthians (#5). Rodrigues showcased her all-around game by recording 12 points, 16 rebounds (!!!) and 6 assists in the last round. Despite Rodrigues' great performance the Corinthians lost 72-77 to the higher-ranked Ituano (#2, 7-1). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Corinthians not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 5 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Rodrigues could try to bring Corinthians' a little bit higher in the standings. Rodrigues has individually a great season in Brazil. After only 8 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 14.1rpg (#1 in league) and assists with 2.8apg (best passer).
