There was no surprise when 9th ranked Santo Andre (1-5) was crushed at home by top-ranked SESI (6-0) 78-47 on Sunday. SESI forced 21 Santo Andre turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Power forward Evelyn Mariano (180-1997) scored 21 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international Vitoria Domingos (181-1996) chipped in 14 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals during the contest. SESI's coach Fabio Appolinario felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was center Giovanna Rocha (187-2005) with 19 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) and forward Marcella Prande (180-2005) scored 8 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. SESI have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 6-0 record behind leader Sampaio. Loser Santo Andre dropped to the tenth place with five games lost.
