Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Sampaio (12-2) in Brasilia on Thursday night. Visitors were edged by eighth ranked Cerrado (6-9) 85-84. Cerrado looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The former international point guard Joice Rodrigues (174-1986) had a double-double by scoring 10 points, 6 rebounds and 14 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Leticia Lisboa (183-1993) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Cerrado's coach Alan Monteiro used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. The former international power forward Gabriela Guimaraes (180-1996) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. Cerrado have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain eighth position with 6-9 record. Sampaio at the other side still keeps top place with two games lost. Cerrado are looking forward to face higher ranked Campinas (#6) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Sampaio will have a break next round.
Very significant was Sao Jose's (#5) 92-82 road victory against 6th ranked Campinas. Colombian guard Manuela Rios (163-1997) notched 41 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and Maira Horford supported her with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Even a double-double of 35 points (!!!) and 17 rebounds by the former international Izabella Sangalli (182-1995) did not help to save the game for Campinas. Campinas' coach Bernardo Dos Santos rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sao Jose have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 9-6 record. Campinas at the other side keeps the sixth place with seven games lost. Sao Jose will play against bottom-ranked Maringa (#11) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Campinas will play against Cerrado (#8) in Brasilia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Ourinhos. One of their biggest challengers host Ourinhos (10-5) lost to third ranked Corinthians (10-3) 74-60. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ourinhos. The best player for the winners was Mariana Queiroz who scored 17 points and 9 rebounds. Maisa Marcal produced 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the hosts. Corinthians have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 10-3 record having just three points less than leader Sampaio. Loser Ourinhos keeps the fourth place with five games lost. Corinthians will meet at home league's second-placed SESI in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ourinhos will play against Santo Andre and hope to secure a win.

In the last two games of round 14 Sampaio destroyed Mesquita on the opponent's court 86-50. Bottom-ranked Maringa was outscored by Ourinhos in a home game 63-82.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 19 points by Thaissa Frediani of Ourinhos.

Very expected game when 7th ranked Mesquita (6-8) was crushed at home by first ranked Sampaio (12-2) 86-50 on Saturday. Sampaio forced 28 Mesquita turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Gabriela Guimaraes (180-1996) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international forward Thayna Silva (180-1996) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Five Sampaio players scored in double figures. Colombian guard Mayra Caicedo (161-2000, college: Tarleton St.) produced 14 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals and center Brenda Barros (185-2000) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Mesquita's coach Raphael Zaremba gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Sampaio maintains first position with 12-2 record. Mesquita lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

Very predictable result when fourth ranked Ourinhos (10-5) smashed on the road bottom-ranked Maringa (1-15) 82-63 on Saturday. Ourinhos forced 24 Maringa turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Ourinhos especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Jeanne Morais (176-1985) who scored 16 points. Guard Thaissa Frediani (16-1989) chipped in 19 points. Ourinhos' coach Marcio Pereira allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Center Lorena Silva (189-1998) produced 14 points and 7 rebounds and guard Geovana Neves (170-2002) added 15 points respectively for the hosts. Ourinhos maintains fourth position with 10-5 record. Maringa lost fifteenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 15 games lost. Ourinhos will meet at home Santo Andre (#9) in the next round where they are favorite. Maringa will play against Sao Jose and hope to win that game.
