Cerrado - Sampaio 65-87

Sampaio dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Cerrado's 36. They outrebounded Cerrado 47-29 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Sampaio players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Leticia Josefino who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 5 rebounds. The former international power forward Gabriela Guimaraes (180-1996) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Sampaio players scored in double figures. The former international point guard Joice Rodrigues (174-1986) answered with 11 points and 5 assists and Leticia Lisboa (183-1993) added 4 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Cerrado. Cerrado's coach Alan Monteiro gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win.

At the losing side power forward Juliana Ribeiro (189-1994) responded with 16 points and 7 rebounds and the former international forward Jeanne Morais (176-1985) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds.

SESI made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Mesquita turnovers. SESI looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. International forward Emanuely De Oliveira (178-1999, college: Florida) stepped up and scored 16 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and power forward Evelyn Mariano (180-1997) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws). Five SESI players scored in double figures. At the losing side Colombian guard Mayra Caicedo (161-2000, college: Tarleton St.) responded with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists and center Brenda Barros (185-2000) scored 17 points. Mesquita's coach Raphael Zaremba already knew that her team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play ten players seeing no chance for a win.
