Sampaio outrebounded Cerrado 46-35 including 34 on the defensive glass. The former international power forward Gabriela Guimaraes (180-1996) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. The former international point guard Lays Silva (166-1998, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 16 points and 5 assists for the winners. The former international point guard Joice Rodrigues (174-1986) replied with 16 points, 7 assists and 6 steals and American forward Dayna Rouse (185-1998, college: Longwood) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Cerrado. Cerrado's coach Alan Monteiro rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
