Melilla signs Raphaella Monteiro, ex Corinthians

Raphaella Monteiro

Club Deportivo La Salle Melilla (LF Challenge) signed 30-year-old Brazilian ex-international forward Raphaella Monteiro (181cm-65kg-1995) for the upcoming 2025-26 season. She played last season at Corinthians in the Brazilian LBF league. In 7 games just recently, she had very impressive stats: 16.4ppg, 4.7rpg, 1.7apg, and 1.1spg.
She was also a member of the Brazilian international program for some years. Monteiro played for Brazilian Senior National Team between 2017 and 2023 and previously for the University National Team back in 2015.
She has played also in Brazil (Gloria do Goita, UNINASSAU Basquete, Sampaio and Ituano), Italy (Battipaglia) and Portugal (Quinta dos Lombos, Sportiva and Benfica). Monteiro was also voted to Eurobasket.com Portuguese League All-Defensive Team in 2025.
Her team won the Brazilian LBF Regular Season in 2024.
