International Forward Thayna Silva (180-F-1996) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Corinthians, receiving a Hoops Agents Paulista Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 29-year old player was the main contributor (13 points, seven rebounds and six assists) to her team's victory, helping them to crush Campinas (#3, 6-3) with 18-point margin 79-61. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Corinthians maintains the 2nd position in Brazilian Paulista. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Corinthians will need more victories to improve their 7-2 record. Silva turned to be Corinthians' top player in her first season with the team. Thayna Silva has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (4th best: 14.3ppg), assists (5th best: 2.3apg) and averages impressive 52.2% FGP and 42.1% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young Thayna Sylvestre (181-C-2004) of Pro-Esport Soracaba. Sylvestre had a very good evening with 7 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Pro-Esport lost that game 41-50 to the higher-ranked Ourinhos (#4, 6-3). This loss caused Pro-Esport to slide to the very bottom (9) position in the standings. 8 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Pro-Esport managed to get this year. Sylvestre is a newcomer at Pro-Esport and despite she is not a team leader yet, every game she becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third on the list of top players last round was international Gabriela Guimaraes (180-C/F-1996) of Ourinhos Basquete (#4). Guimaraes scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. She was a key player of Ourinhos, leading her team to a 50-41 win against the lower-ranked Pro-Esport S. (#9, 1-8). Ourinhos needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 3 lost games. Guimaraes has a great season in Brazil. After only 7 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.4ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 8.4rpg (4th best).
